Domus Aurea

Gifts

After the devastating fire of 64 AD, which destroyed much of the centre of Rome, the emperor Nero began the construction of a new residence, which for its pomp and grandeur went down in history with the name of Domus Aurea . Domus Aurea is found in Archaeological museum in Rome, Italy. After Nero's death, his successors sought to erase every trace of the emperor and his palace. The luxurious halls were stripped of their paneling and sculptures and filled with earth up to the vaults to be used as substructures for other buildings.

Gifts

Over 30 Tyrannosaurus rex skeletons have been discovered, primarily in the North American Hell Creek Formation, with Sue (90% complete) at the Field Museum and the Wankel T. rex at the National Museum of Natural History being among the most significant. Key findings reveal they were large, predatory, 18-year-old adults, lived in feathered or scaled, had rapid growth rates, and lived around 66 million years ago.
